After PUBG Mobile was out of India, South Korean game developer Krafton returned to India. Indian market after just a year of launching the same game with minor tweaks . They the game was renamed Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI. It appears, however, that BGMI was also outlawed in India.

There isn’t a formal announcement issued by the IT ministry as of yet however, the BGMI game is confirmed to have been taken off each Google Play store and Apple App store. Krafton has confirmed the news and stated, “We are clarifying how BGMI was removed from the Google Play store and the App store. We’ll inform you once we receive specific details.”

Although the game is no longer available on apps, if you already own the app installed on your phone you’ll still be playing it until the point that it’s feasible.

In the meantime, Google has officially said that it received an official request issued by India’s government, requiring it to take down the game. “On receiving the order and following the procedure established we have notified the developer who was affected and stopped access to the application which was still accessible through the Play Store in India,” it said.
